Accountability : Develop and execute the family office's investment strategy.
Oversee and manage strategic asset allocation across multiple platforms.
Lead the investment management front office, ensuring alignment with the family office's investment objectives.
Support the Head of Family Office in maintaining compliance with the approved investment framework, including the Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and other key policies.
Spearhead key investment projects, including partnerships with other investment companies and evolving the investment platform.
Responsibilities : Lead the development, recommendation, and execution of investment and portfolio management strategies, primarily focused on public markets and publicly traded alternatives, with plans to expand to direct investments.
Continuously enhance investment processes, risk management frameworks, and performance metrics.
Establish a clear risk perspective and develop actionable risk mitigation plans.
Originate, screen, evaluate, and recommend investment opportunities across sectors and geographies, ensuring adherence to approved procedures.
Make informed recommendations regarding investments and divestments, within given authority thresholds.
Oversee the evaluation, recommendation, and execution of investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with the family office's broader remit.
Monitor and report on portfolio performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Lead the advisory process, working with external advisers and internal teams to execute investments and manage post-investment activities.
Serve on committees and portfolio boards to represent the investment team's perspectives.
Ensure accurate and timely performance reporting through dashboards and performance metrics.
Lead, train, and develop the investment team, and assist with the recruitment of new members as necessary.
Conduct ad-hoc functions assigned by the Principals or the Head of Family Office.
Job Requirements: Education: MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Relevant professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, etc.)
are advantageous.
Over 15 years total/10 years post MBA in asset management overseeing/leading on a diversified global portfolios of institutional size including experience in financial instruments, real estate, private equity (funds and direct deals), and alternatives.
5/10 years experience in leading and developing high-performing investment teams across the full spectrum of asset classes.
Background in investment banking, asset management, or investment advisory.
Proven track record of managing multi-asset class portfolios at an institutional level, including alternatives.
Strong understanding of international markets, broad macroeconomic trends, and socio-political scenarios.
Strong business acumen, particularly in business modelling and macroeconomic analysis.
Proven ability to establish and monitor all aspects of investment risk and control.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills, with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficient in portfolio monitoring, reporting, and risk management platforms and technologies.
