Are you passionate about quality assurance and eager to drive performance improvements?
We are seeking a Chief Inspector to join a dynamic team, leading a group of dedicated Quality personnel and ensuring their products and processes meet the highest industry standards.
What You'll Do Lead Quality Efforts: Manage a team of Quality Control staff, addressing training, performance, health & safety, and other team needs.
Customer Collaboration: Serve as a quality interface for customers, ensuring requirements are met, handling complaints, and executing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Data-Driven Improvements: Analyze organizational quality metrics, develop action plans, and recommend process enhancements based on statistical data.
System Implementation: Execute and enhance Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.).
Problem Solving: Utilize structured methodologies such as Six Sigma and 8D to resolve product and process issues.
Training and Development: Contribute to and deliver quality assurance training programs to promote best practices.
Product Development Support: Collaborate on new product development, ensuring quality is embedded in design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
Inspection and Testing: Develop and audit inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and work instructions.
Audit and Compliance: Conduct system and process audits to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
Your Skills and Experience To excel in this role, you will need: Proven ability to lead and manage a small team, including performance management and development.
Expertise in quality problem-solving tools and methods, such as Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and 8D.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, quality system requirements, and product testing protocols.
Familiarity with industry-specific quality certifications and registration schemes (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100).
Experience with statistical analysis, process capability evaluations, and process improvement strategies.
Excellent understanding of engineering design, product reliability concepts, and gauging techniques.
Effective leadership and cross-functional team management skills.
