Location: Norfolk, UK Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum Reporting to:  Board of Directors  Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible to include two regular evenings per month and occasional weekends Are you a dynamic and compassionate leader ready to make a real difference in peoples lives?
A highly respected and long-established charity in Norfolk is seeking an inspiring Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of empowering individuals with learning disabilities, their families, and carers.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of an organisation dedicated to creating lasting, positive change for some of the most vulnerable members of society.
My client is a forward-thinking charity with a proud history of providing essential services, advocacy, and support for individuals with learning disabilities.
Through their work, they ensure that every person has the opportunity to live a fulfilling and dignified life, while engaging with their communities.
As CEO, you will be at the heart of our organisation, driving its strategic direction and ensuring the delivery of outstanding support services.
You will: Provide inspirational leadership to staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of inclusion and empowerment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, funders, and the wider community.
Lead on the strategic and operational development of the charity to ensure sustainability and growth.
Oversee key areas of the charity, leveraging your expertise to drive improvement and innovation.
Represent the organisation as an advocate for individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
Provide clear leadership ensuring financial sustainability and strategic growth and development.
Ensure the right management systems, structures, policies and procedures in place to carry out its work effectively, accountably, and safely, and that professional standards are met.
Ensure compliance with all necessary external regulatory bodies.
Act as Company Secretary, ensuring prompt provision of minutes of Board and Committee meetings.
Ensure that appropriate quality assurance and management processes are in place to fully comply with CQC and requirements relating to safeguarding adults at risk of abuse or neglect.
Negotiate and agree Contracts and Service Level Agreements with Norfolk County Council and other key organisations for the delivery of services.
Who You Are Your experience does not have not lie within the third sector or social care sector (although that is desirable).
However, you will bring an infectious enthusiasm for working with people with learning disabilities and a clear professional curiosity.
Critically, you will be creative and be able to demonstrate successful and ethical leadership qualities having significant experience of managing and leading teams.
Having a creative and dynamic approach to problem solving and change management, as well as an entrepreneurial drive to fund raising and business development, you will bring strong communication skills and effective influencing skills to the role.

Independent and sound judgement, coupled with the ability to make tough decisions when needed.

Proficiency in analysing management reports and proposals to inform strategic direction.
Confidence in IT and digital tools to support a forward-looking organisation.
