Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging Science curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on expertise and experience.
The role entails fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity critical thinking and a love for scientific exploration.
Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver stimulating Science lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement participation and a sense of wonder about the natural world.
Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth and development.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in science education.
Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelors degree or higher in Science with specialization in Biology Chemistry or Physics preferred.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Demonstrated experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
