What we can offer you: 25 days of annual leave Access to our people's pension scheme Free physiotherapy service Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you'll be doing: Manage hazardous waste handling operations including assessment, listing, packaging, and labelling of waste materials at customer sites, ensuring compliance with road transport and special waste regulations Generate transport documentation and quotes using IT systems, while maintaining accurate records and swift processing of all paperwork to meet customer expectations Supervise waste operatives and sub-contractors, including oversight of dangerous loads, sampling of wastes, and spillage clearance Provide technical expertise to customers and colleagues while ensuring excellent customer relations and adherence to site rules Maintain inventory of supplies and company property while assisting at the transfer station as needed Comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH regulations, and all relevant legislation Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including assessment of new enquiries and maintenance of company standards What we're looking for: Degree/HNC in Chemistry or relevant scientific qualification, plus sound knowledge of environmental legislation Full valid driving licence required ADR certification, forklift licence, and first aid qualification desirable Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-focused approach High level of literacy and numeracy, with flexibility in working hours and enthusiasm for continuous learning What's next?
