Description Wychem, an Ascensus Specialties Company, is looking for a motivated Plant Operator to join our team.
You will play a vital role in our production process, ensuring our facility operates safely and efficiently.
This includes manufacturing, drying, and packaging materials while adhering to safety and quality standards.
You'll be responsible for operating equipment, monitoring production, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
You'll also collaborate with management to schedule work, improve processes, and maintain a safe working environment.
This role requires the ability to work extended hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities The Chemical Operator plays a crucial role in Wychem's day-to-day manufacturing.
This role will be responsible to utilize a batch sheet process to manufacture fine chemicals that are used in products such as vital medicines and 4K LED televisions.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise Minimum Qualifications A minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of Office 365.
Understanding of the hazards and safety protocols when working with potentially hazardous chemicals, atmospheres, and materials, including explosive atmospheres.
Preferred Qualifications A Chemistry related degree or other degree in a relevant field of study.
3-5 years industrial experience in fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacture.
