Manpower Recruitment have teamed up with an established College in Oxford City Centre.
They require a Chef De Partie on a Full Time, permanent basis.
The role is paying £26638-£30259pa depending on experience.
Working hours will be 5/7 days (No Sundays and working hours will be between 7am-9.30pm on an 8-hour shift basis) Overview of the Role Working as part of a busy, award-winning kitchen team, the Chef de Partie prepares and cooks food to a high standard, from servery-style to fine dining for students, Fellows, staff, and guests.
Main Duties Prepare and cook food under the supervision of senior chefs, to agreed standards, employing working practices and methods as instructed.
Serve food when required.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
Receive and check food deliveries.
Work on, and take charge of a section of the kitchen, as instructed by the Head Chef.
Assist the Head Chef in developing new dishes and menus.
Supervise and help to train and develop junior members of the brigade such as Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the security of the kitchen, storerooms and fridges.
Support the kitchen's compliance with Health and Safety and other legal regulations.
Ensure compliance with allergen requirements.
Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled.
Person Specification At least three years' relevant experience working in a large kitchen, preferably in a similar environment.
Be craft trained to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Food Preparation.
Have, or be willing to train for, the Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
Thorough familiarity with the relevant health and safety and hygiene requirements.
Be able to demonstrate passion and flair for high quality food and proven experience of producing high standards of meals.
