About the Chef Position We're seeking a passionate and competent Chef to join our team.
As a Chef with [restaurant], you'll be responsible for overseeing everything that goes on in the kitchen!  As our Chef, you'll be responsible for many tasks, from ensuring high-quality dishes are served to patrons to managing the kitchen's budget.
You'll need excellent organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Chef Responsibilities Oversee kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and cleanup Manage kitchen staff by delegating tasks Hire and train all kitchen staff members Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines Create menus that appeal to customers, including special seasonal menus Work alongside restaurant management to price menu items Provide feedback on food preparation and presentation Inspect food items to ensure quality Monitor inventory and workshop ways to reduce food spoilage Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, scheduling repairs when required Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure goals are being met Chef Requirements [2+] years experience as a Chef Degree in culinary arts preferred Licensure from the FDA as applicable Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills Superb attention to detail Strong creativity when creating menus Budget management skills Ability to remain calm under pressure
