Job summary We are seeking to recruit an experienced clinician from the field of continuing health to join our well established CHC Quality Assurrance Team.
There is an exciting opportunity for an additional band 7 Quality assurance person to join us at North East London ICB .This is an opportunity for both personal and professional development and you will be given suitable training to enable you to verify the MDT recommendations in accordance with the framework for CHC.The successful candidate for this post will need to be self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative, work autonomously as well as within a team and have excellent time management skills.
People management skills and the ability to deal with difficult and challenging situations is also essential.
Main duties of the job The post holder is responsible for ensuring that all CHC processes implemented are compliant with legislative and national guidance and in accordance with the responsibilities of the ICBs.
Maintain a robust decision-making process including for the ratification of MDT recommendation and where there is a panel, to monitor its running and processes are in accordance with the CHC Framework for Older People, Physical Disabilities & Complex Needs, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
To work with Mental Health Trust and LA partners for Section 117 of the Mental Health Act in relation to after care, in the context of continuing care.
Required for the role :o Registered Nurse RGN, RMN or RNLD or Allied Health Professional with Significant knowledge of the CHC framework and its applicationo Good knowledge of NHS and social services Strong knowledge base around safeguarding children and adultso Evidence of teaching/mentorshipo Clinical knowledge base in order to ensure comprehensive holistic assessment for continuing careo A background that can demonstrate clinical experience in a healthcare setting including inter-agency and multi-agency workingo Evidence of continued professional developmento Competent in IT including good typing skills.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or other recognised approved body, for example, HCPC, Social Care England and/or educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification.
Post-graduate degree or equivalent Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment Evidence of continued professional development Member of relevant professional body Experience Essential Experience in a healthcare environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding regarding the application of NHS Continuing Healthcare, NHS Funded Nursing Care, Complex Packages of Care, Appeals and Disputes Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments Capability to act upon incomplete information, using experience to make inferences and decision making Knowledge Essential Able to provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information, negotiate with stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information Able to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required.
Capable of managing own workload and making informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales Desirable Knowledge of financial systems monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement
