We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is 37 over 7 days/nights.
The opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Charge nurse post within Henderson ward, an Acute adult mental health admission ward within Gartnavel Royal Hospital.

We also believe in looking after our staffs welfare and we are now keen to recruit Band 6 Charge Nurses to join our in patient mental health clinical teams.
Requirements: You should have significant experience at Band 5 level or above.
The knowledge and skills to assist the Senior Charge Nurse with the leadership and motivation of a team of registered and non registered nursing staff.
Additionally you should have the confidence to lead the team in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and you must be computer literate.
Duties include: Liaising with statutory and non statutory agencies will be a key part of your role.
You will be expected to form excellent working relationships with clinical and non clinical staff groups.
You will be required to participate in a hospital page holding rota.
You must be available to work shifts (Day and Night shifts) The ability to operate as a team player is an essential component to this role.
Equally important is the ability to treat people with dignity and respect and to act in a collaborative manner with service users, carers and varying staff groups.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
