Charge Nurse - Emergency Department

This role is working within a small team of other Band 6 Charge Nurses and the Senior Charge Nurse.
Experience in Emergency Nursing is essential, with 5 years post registration experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in an Emergency Department both essential.
The role involves supporting and developing Band 5 and HCSW in the Department and deputising for the Senior Charge Nurse when she is unavailable.
The Department is a Trauma Unit and also receives all speciality groups, including Paediatrics.
This is a busy, fast paced environment with an unpredictable work load so being able to adapt at fast pace is vital.
The Department receives anything from 80 to over 100 patients per day, roughly 30,000 attendees per year.
There is a requirement to work both nights and days and weekends.
