We are seeking a Category Manager responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for direct spend categories.
This role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost control, driving quality assurance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.

Supplier Selection and Management : Identify and evaluate potential suppliers using data and insights; negotiate favourable terms and agreements.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure value delivery.
Optimise the supplier base to drive cost efficiency while maintaining service quality and performance.
Conduct supplier reviews to evaluate, monitor, improve, or remove suppliers as necessary.
Cost Control : Monitor and control procurement budgets to maximise efficiency and reduce expenses.
Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality.
Quality Assurance : Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure procured goods/services meet quality and safety standards.
Work with suppliers to promptly resolve quality issues.
Ensure relevant SLAs are in place, monitored, and achieved.
Strategic Sourcing : Deliver measurable savings within set timelines.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Support strategic managed services partner selection and management.
Stay updated on market trends and technological advancements.
Contract Management : Collaborate with the legal department to ensure robust contract agreements.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts for advantageous terms.
Regularly review and update contracts to meet changing business needs.
Lead supplier development, including dispute resolution.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration : Engage with stakeholders to ensure procurement specifications are met and approved supplier lists are adhered to.
Collaborate across teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and goals.
Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and ESG standards in all procurement practices.
Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
Manage supplier governance through contract management to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
What experience do we need from you?
Minimum of 5 years in direct spend category management.
Degree or relevant technical qualification.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering environments is preferred.
