Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cargo Underwriter to join our growing team.
As a Cargo Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating risks, underwriting policies, and working collaboratively with our tech and data analytics teams to enhance our capabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and is looking to shape the future of cargo insurance.
Key Responsibilities: - Assess risks associated with cargo transportation - Analyze and evaluate insurance applications based on industry standards and risk factors.
- Collaborate with our data analytics team to leverage technology in risk assessment and policy pricing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Claims team to deliver best in class claim service - Monitor and manage the performance of the cargo portfolio, ensuring profitability and adherence to company standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks to inform underwriting practices.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of underwriting processes and tools.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in cargo underwriting or marine insurance.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with underwriting software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and teams.
- Knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry is a plus.
- Tech-savvy and open to embracing new technologies and innovation.
