We want to hear from you!About the Role: SGS is currently looking for a Cargo Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
As a Cargo Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in inspecting, sampling, and ensuring compliance with cargo operations across the sector.
This position is perfect for individuals with a strong understanding of seafaring operations or those with logistics and fuel handling experience.Key Responsibilities:Conducting surveys and inspections of cargo during loading, unloading, and transportation.Ensuring that cargo handling and storage meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.Managing documentation related to cargo quantities, qualities, and conditions.Providing accurate reports on findings and advising on corrective measures if needed.QualificationsWho We're Looking For:Former military personnel, particularly those from the Navy, with hands-on experience in seafaring or cargo operations.Professionals with a background in logistics, fuel handling, or a related field.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.Driving license that can be used in the UK, is essential for this role.
