Role: Childcare Solicitor or Legal ExecutiveLocation: Taunton (other locations available in Somerset)Hours: Full TimeWhat's on Offer?Kick start this new legal aid contractProgress quickly to Head of Department, if not immediatelyCompetitive salary25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)Xmas and New Year closureCompany pension schemeDeath in Service InsuranceHybrid workingWhat will you do?Specialise in public law childcare casesThese will include all child protection issues, and all other legal matters involving childrenAct for parents, guardians and childrenAdvise on all public law matters, including care and supervision orders, emergency protection orders and adoption casesEnsure compliance with Legal Aid Agency guidelines and manage the legal aid certification processConduct advocacy in the Family Court and liaise with Counsel when necessaryWork closely with local authorities, Children's Guardians, social services, and other agencies involved in child protection casesAttend court hearings, case management conferences, and directions hearingsWhen appropriate build out a care teamWhat do you need?
