Our client, a small residential care home providing Residential and Dementia Care, is seeking an experienced Chef to join their team and elevate the dining experience for residents.
This role is ideal for a passionate chef who is dedicated to quality, enjoys crafting fresh and nutritious meals, and values a supportive work environment.
Qualifications & Experience: Culinary Qualifications: Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent culinary certification.
Previous Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years working as a chef in a care home, hospital, or similar environment preferred.
Nutritional Knowledge: Familiarity with dietary requirements related to residential and dementia care, including soft diets and modified textures.
Food Safety: Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a Food Hygiene Certificate.
Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, budgeting, and menu planning.
People Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage residents in a warm and respectful manner.

Resident Engagement: Work closely with care staff to understand residents' preferences and ensure meals are enjoyable and tailored to their tastes and health requirements.
