Job Specification: Care Assistant (Residential) - Grade 3 Job Purpose To provide high-quality care and support to residents in a residential care setting, promoting their dignity, independence, and well-being.
The Care Assistant will work as part of a team to deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Help with meal preparation and assist residents during mealtimes, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Monitor and report changes in residents health and well-being to senior staff.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and contribute to care plan reviews.
Encourage and support residents to participate in social and recreational activities.
Promote a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and team members.
Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Assist in the orientation and training of new staff and volunteers as needed.
Essential Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in a care role, preferably within a residential setting.
Understanding of person-centred care principles.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a care environment.
Basic first aid and medication administration training (or willingness to undertake training).
