    The successful applicant will:     Deliver quality personal care to each of our residents.
    Help the residents with daily activities including, bathing, taking people to the toilet, dressing and undressing, and ensuring optimum independence, dignity, and respect of all individuals who live here.
    Encourage those that may have difficulty eating or swallowing, to enjoy their meal in a relaxed pleasant atmosphere, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
    Assist people with restricted mobility to move to other areas of the Home for social activities and stimulation and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.
    Regularly attend to any of the people who may have reduced continence control, ensuring all personal hygiene needs are met.
Toileting, changing continence pads, and removing wet or soiled clothing to ensure they remain comfortable and the risk of skin deterioration is reduced and monitored.
    Carry out care activity in accordance with the care plan for less active people, particularly turning and moving to reduce the risk of development of pressure sores, as requested by the person in charge.
    Ensure bedroom areas are kept tidy, pleasant and comfortable by making beds, regularly changing bed linen and emptying commodes and cleaning.
    Be responsible for the regular cleaning of any equipment involved in the personal care of people the residents, including commodes and wheelchairs.
    Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks and in particular moving and handling, by assessing risk and having due regard for personal safety and the safety of people who live here, visitors, and your colleagues.
    Understand personal responsibilities with regards to Health and Safety at Work legislation, particularly in relation to moving and handling of people who live here and fire safety and evacuation procedures.
    Act courteously towards the residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each person and ensuring they feel 'At home'.
    Contribute fully to the team, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly, and record interactions on the personal care software.
    Take good care of items of equipment used to carry out tasks, including general cleanliness and advising on any faults or the need for maintenance or replacement.
    Be responsible for the safe and tidy storage of supplies and equipment.
    Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required     Develop relationships with relatives to help support residents better.
        What we are looking for:     Someone who can deliver a level of care that truly comes from the heart, making sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality as you get involved in general activities within the care home.
And, whether you are helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, you will always have their well-being in mind above anything else.
