Main duties of the jobCardiology Ward / ACCU is a 41 bedded unit made up of 6 ACCU beds, 6 HDU beds, 13 side rooms, and 3 bays. We care for all aspects of cardiac medicine including Intervention, Electrophysiology, Structural and Adult Congenital.

Person SpecificationQualificationsRegistered Nurse (Part 1, 8, 12, or 15 of register depending on area of practice) or National certification in area of Practice.Evidence of ongoing professional development.Previous band 6 experience.Proof of education at level 7.Clinical PracticeArticulate & knowledgeable of skills needed to deliver high standard of care.Demonstrates awareness of importance of teamwork.Leadership & ManagementActs as a role model and able to lead by example.Able to supervise non-registered and less experienced staff.Experience coordinating ward.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
