Responsibilities To lead by example, working with Senior Managers to develop and work towards a carbon reduction plan aiming to deliver projects in a carbon neutral way.Develop a robust approach to carbon measurement throughout the company meeting the needs of all stakeholders.To identify industry best practice relating to carbon reductionTo create an innovation culture around carbon reduction using internal input from within the company.To develop a communications plan that engages all in the business to understand their role in the Carbon Reduction programme.To establish measures and metrics that help the business regularly track its progress on the Carbon Reduction Programme.To ensure carbon performance features appropriately in our bid submissions and tendering process.To review research within the industry to inform our strategy.To support the business units to help them understand what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint.Skills / QualificationsEducated to at least degree level in carbon management or similar disciplineMinimum 2 years' experience in leading change programmes within a large business (with preferable rail industry experience)Willingness to learnExcellent IT knowledge required including use of a variety of software and systems to analyse and produce data reporting.Strong management and organisational skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels within the business and the ability to think creativelyAbility to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders across the business and industryGood relationship building skillsAbility to travel to promote the role and responsibilities within the company.If you are interested in this role, have the drive, ambition and relevant experience and skills to join this fast paced team, please get in touch to learn more.
