Our Birmingham office's Civil Engineering team currently have an opening for a CAD Technician with 1-5 years experience to join the team and assist on a wide range of projects.
You will be expected to assist on a range of projects, at any stage of their development, from conception to completion, and take responsibility for the work you do.
The team currently has a wide variety of infrastructure projects including, residential, commercial, industrial, utility and renewable energy projects.
Our work specifically relates to the civil engineering and utility works; however, you will be expected to work with other disciplines to help progress the overall project.
Our projects currently include but are not limited to: Providing a central resource to the various disciplines, offering CAD services Assisting with the preparation of civil, drainage, highways and utilities engineering drawings Assisting with data depiction and drawing modifications Managing the delivery of individual tasks or activities to programme and budget Taking part in key project control procedures such as drawing standards, issues and registrations.
An ideal candidate will require: A relevant qualification e.g.
HNC, HND, BTEC in Construction or the Built Environment is preferable, however experience within built environment or similar will be considered Comprehensive working knowledge of AutoCAD Excellent communication and organisational skills Preferable experience of working with, Civils 3D, and BIM About us Wardell Armstrong is a successful multi-disciplinary consultancy with 13 offices throughout the UK employing approximately 500 staff.
