C# Software Engineer Annual Salary: £51,572 - £63,785 Location: Portsmouth Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid Join the IT team at an exciting time as our client embarks on a digital transformation journey.
This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of technology and business change, from large transformation programmes to quick-fire innovations.
Day-to-day of the role: Work in an agile environment to design, build, deliver, test, and support systems using the latest techniques and technologies.
Gain technical knowledge of the company's existing and new products and project developments.
Take responsibility for ensuring work packages are completed on schedule and within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, serving as a subject matter expert for IT.
Assist with the setup and design of tracking and managing changes to software code, including CI/CD pipeline.
Proactively keep products updated with evolving technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in design, development, test, integration of quality software, and maintaining thorough documentation.
Proficiency with C#, .NET framework, Visual Studio, Python, Git, and other development tools.
Experience in designing and implementing integration solutions using Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and familiarity with DevOps pipelines.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, SOAP, and other web services protocols.
Knowledge of Git or similar version control tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with the team, stakeholders, and product owners.
Desirable: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
ERP (IFS) and GIS (ESRI) integration experience.
Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
