Position Details?
Reporting to the Team Lead, you will be responsible for the creation of purchase orders for products to maintain the inventory levels set for the department and ensure costs and service levels to customers are maintained.
You will also work within the planning team to plan the availability of spare parts to fulfil customer orders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Creating Purchase Orders & Requisitions in our ERP system to meet demand Monitor Inventory levels and avoid stock outs Organising freight and collections from suppliers where needed Gathering pricing and availability information from suppliers Run overdue PO Reports and expedite late orders with suppliers Update Supplychain parameters and data in our ERP system ORACLE Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers Resolving invoice queries in a timely manner Management of KPIs Maintain and review system master data.
Actively control and calibrate the planning system parameters, replenishment rules, stock levels as required for all materials.
Maintain accurate supplier lead times.
Adjust inventory value and availability levels to changing business requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues on other sites to align planning process.
Analyse planning impact to drive improvement.

About you Experience Level & Required Qualifications: Educated to a minimum of GCSE Standard or equivalent Experience of a Purchasing role gained within a busy office environment Good general IT & Microsoft skills especially Advanced Excel Ability to organise and prioritise workload using your own initiative to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Commitment to continuous improvement and developing new processes.
Ability to work under pressure, plan your own workload and manage tight timelines.
Ability to handle very large data sets and recognise trends therein.
