PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN INTERNAL VACANCY ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT NHS BORDERS STAFF An opportunity has arisen for a Buyer (Band 3) to join the Procurement Team within NHS Borders (Based at Borders General Hospital) We are looking for a motivated and flexible individual who will work within a busy Procurement Function.
Main duties include responsibility for the day-to-day purchase of goods and services required to provide a quality service to customers and patients within NHS Borders.
The procurement portfolio includes high volume, fast response requirements which are crucial for the day to day running of hospitals, health centres and other units across NHS Borders.
You will have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills and will have the ability to prioritise a demanding workload while working on you own initiative.
You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' experience within a Procurement function with a professional knowledge of a procurement function.
Knowledge of the Procurement ordering system (PECOS) is essential.
Knowledge of the Genesis Ward Product Management system is desirable.
Working Hours 25 hours to be worked between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Flexible arrangements will be available with regards to days on which the hours will be worked.
