Join a rapidly expanding business as a Buyer and take the next step in your career with a salary up to £35,000 and excellent progression opportunities.Position in based in Reading with once a month travel on site.This position will be suited to you if you have had experience within procurement as a Buyer and are able to speak Cantonese/Mandarin.Role responsibilities of the Buyer include:Identify and source high-quality materials and components required for production.Ensure timely procurement to meet production schedules and avoid delays.Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to optimise costs.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).Analyse and manage freight costs to control expenses, seeking cost-effective shipping solutions.Monitor order status and proactively address potential delays to ensure timely delivery.Collaborate with product development teams to source innovative materials and components for new products.Participate in supplier selection for new projects, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.Person Specification of the Buyer:Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a mustProven experience of procuring finished goods for an airline (or similar high-volume industry)Ability to negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDriven and motivated individual with a desire to progress in their careerSalary up to £35,000This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a buyer, sourcing specialist, commodity manager, category manager, senior buyer, materials planner, materials controller or junior buyer.
