Buyer

We are looking for an Buyer to work within the defence sector.
Location: Reading / Hybrid working - About the role : You will be responsible for completing all buying activities, including complex orders, ensuring that demands are understood and met, and issues are dealt with promptly.
Essential Skills: The ideal candidates will hold Active SC clearance and experience working as a Buyer, with the following skills/ experience: Knowledge of procurement categories Public sector procurement regulation (PCR 2015) Experience within Defence, Nuclear of Public Sector Experience and knowledge to review requisitions, place purchase orders in line with the correct route to market and expedite orders to meet business needs.
Experience in delivering cost savings.
Experience of supporting the Procurement process for RFI, RFP, E-procurement, negotiation and vendor management in relevant categories.
