Job Title – Buyer Location – Pickering, North Yorkshire Contract – Fulltime, Permanent Hours – Mon to Thurs 8:00am to 5:00pm & Fri 8:00am to 2:00pm Work Environment – Primarily office-based with independent and team-oriented tasks.
This role may involve travel to suppliers and customer locations.
Purpose of Role Drive supplier management and sourcing strategies to maximise profitability.
Key Responsibilities of the Buyer: Manage RFQ to SOP processes for new business awards.
Oversee daily commercial supplier management, including cost reduction initiatives.
Develop innovative ideas to enhance profitability through commercial or process efficiencies.
Support Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) by managing supplier delivery issues and negotiating claims.
Formulate and implement commodity strategies covering packaging, logistics, and consumables.
