Benefits: Bonus scheme Private medical CIPS study support and development 24 days holiday + Bank Death in service (4 x salary) Regular salary reviews Various company events throughout the year Pension scheme Employee Wellbeing Programme Free onsite parking Engineering Buyer Duties: Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to continuously enhance cost-effectiveness, quality, and continuity of supply Identify and source components based on quality and price Collect data and report supplier KPIs Working closely with the Technical Department to support ongoing projects Understands price analysis and interrogate suppliers' prices to determine value for money Collaborate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to expedite deliveries, ensuring that promised shipment dates are met and disruptions to our production schedule are minimised Hours: Full time Monday – Friday Required skills & experience: A proven background in purchasing electrical or mechanical components in the engineering or manufacturing sector (essential) Skilled negotiator with a track record of securing favourable terms and conditions Proficiency in IT systems, knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential It would be beneficial to be able to read engineering drawings or BOM and identify critical aspects of a specification If you would like to discuss this Engineering Buyer role in more detail, then do get in touch with Lewis at Elevation Recruitment Group now!
