This role is essential for managing and overseeing a list of titles to ensure they are placed at agreed target costs and meet sales and customer delivery dates.
You will play a key role in building supplier relationships and contributing to the continuous improvement of our procurement processes.
Role Responsibilities: Support purchase order creation, negotiate costs and agree international schedules.
Collaborate with Sales to meet customer requirements, focusing on schedules and packing requirements.
Liaise with teams regarding file dates and specifications.
Work closely with the Production Control team on upcoming orders, schedules, and ensure all necessary dummies are ordered and checked in line with customer deadlines.
Maintain and update estimated costs and schedules in the database, ensuring all procurement-related information is populated and chase for any missing information.
Create and manage procurement documents such as PQs, POs, and Assembly orders.
Support the Head of Procurement with process improvements to ensure a smooth flow of information through the team.
Maintain the quality of data and challenge product specifications to promote environmental and sustainability considerations.
Explore and set up alternative suppliers for formats and components, managing the process from dummy approval to account setup.
Attend meetings, supply and gather relevant information and materials in advance, and contribute to setting up new procedures and system improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Confidence and excellent communication skills.
Highly organised and proactive.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and database systems.
Experience in managing or being part of tender processes is desirable.
Experience in building relationships with suppliers, particularly in the Far East.
Meticulous attention to detail.
