Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Buyer (FMCG) at Surya Foods in Harwich.
The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing new products, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, analysing market trends, and ensuring timely deliveries.
The Buyer will work closely with internal teams to develop strategies that meet the company's goals and objectives.
Owning and managing some key food categories in the business (this could be across ambient/frozen etc).
Ensuring suppliers are contractually compliant, Suppliers performance.
Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers, including negotiating and setting commercial contracts, new line forms Looking at opportunities to innovate with suppliers and create efficient, for example reducing packaging to create a shared cost benefit Support NPD (New Product Development) projects Trading performance responsibility, including regular sales reports, budgets, and targets Qualifications Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing inventory for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) Knowledge of market trends and consumer preferences in the food industry Strong analytical and decision-making skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software Relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field Benefits Free on-site parking After successful probation, Employees receive a Staff Discount Card entitling them up to 50% off Best Available Rate (BAR)at one our 13 hotels https://www.suryahotels.co.uk/ plus 50% off food and 25% off for their friends and close family members at managers discretion.

Pay: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum DOE and skills If you believe you have the necessary skills then we would love to hear form you.
