THE ROLE As a Buyer & Merchandiser, you will set the merchandising strategy to achieve our annual financial plan and forecast sales and inventory weekly to address trends and changes in the market. You will be sourcing high-quality products, building strong relationships with vendors and negotiating the best deals on price, quality, and terms. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Build a financial merchandise plan by product category, item, and store that supports the company's financial objectives. Sourcing new suppliers Negotiate pricing, contracts, and minimum order quantities with suppliers. Implement and ensure quality control measures are met Manage the product lifecycle from sourcing to end-of-life, including forecasting, budgeting, and inventory management. Utilize historical data and current market trends to support the buying process and deliver the financial plan. Compile weekly sales, markdown, inventory, and vendor data and provide analysis that supports risks or opportunities to current forecasts. Interpret trends in order to drive sales and increase merchandise productivity. Ensure stock levels are sufficient to support sales trends and maximize inventory productivity. Develop ad hoc reports as needed to drive or react to current and future business. Collects relevant competitor and market knowledge on products, pricing, trends, and events. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Buyer/Merch experience within Fashion eCommerce preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience in Planning & Merchandising or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Seeking to use prior experience, to build infrastructure, define and lead the growth of the Merchandising capability at BOXRAW Strong analytical/statistical skills including a comprehensive understanding of retail math concepts and formulation of business plans Ability to analyze open to buy, develop forecasts, and recommend in-season action to minimize risk. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Use a logical thought process to solve complex problems. Advanced level Microsoft Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. Ability to work in a high-energy, high-intensity, and rapidly evolving environment.
