Butcher

Our client is a long established family run business and have been market leaders of the meat industry for decades.
Due to an ever increasing demand an opportunity has arisen for a new Butcher to join this award winning company within the Darlington area.

Our client is dedicated to creating a great working environment and take pride in creating fantastic produce. This role is a temp-to-perm position, with hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday.
You'll have Sundays and one weekday off.
As a Butcher, you will be responsible for the following: Producing meat for sale including bone out carcasses with good cutting standardsEnsuring that all food safety and health and safety regulations are met within the butchery departmentCleaning and maintaining tools and equipmentWeighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying productsKeeping records, budgets, and inventoryPerforming quality inspections on meats and other productsCoordinating deliveries or order pickups To be considered for the role of Butcher, you must have previous experience in butchery, as well as the following: The ability to understand detailed trainingThe ability to complete tasks within defined time limitsKnife skills are essentialThe ability to maintain a sterilised knife at all times when undertaking the roleTo be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivatedAdopts a 'can do' attitude to challenging situationsEnsuring health and safety to create a safe working environment for self and colleagues To apply for the role of Butcher, please apply via the button or link shown.
