Job Description Job Title: Busway Safety Officer Grade: SO2 Overall Purpose of the Job: Busway Safety Officers will conduct daily and monthly inspections of the busway and vehicles, identifying defects and hazards, and ensuring accurate records are maintained, with control measures in place and followed to minimise risk.
They will support the Lead Safety Officer in implementing corrective actions and act as a key liaison between contractors and maintenance teams.
The role involves establishing good customer relationships with contractors, maintenance teams, the wider Highways and Transport (H&T) service, and other stakeholders, with a commitment to a "Safety First" approach to deliver a safe and sustainable experience for all users and workers.
