Business Systems Lead - Salary Circa £85,000 - 12 MONTH FTC.
The role is great for someone who will provide the strategic technical and architectural vision and roadmap for the GI (General insurance) technology ecosystem SaaS platforms and ensure that the business derive maximum value from the functionalities of the SaaS platforms.
A significant part of their role will be to manage the strategic relationships with key SaaS vendors as the primary contact and advocate for the organisation in influencing their roadmap through effective feedback.
They will ensure the technology roadmap from SaaS vendors is aligned with the strategic priorities and product delivery roadmap for GI (General insurance) They will collaborate with business stakeholders, SaaS vendors, and architects to design and implement SaaS solutions for GI (General insurance) that meet business requirements, align with architectural principles, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
A bit about the job: As the Business Systems Lead you will oversee the technical health, resilience and operational performance of the SaaS technology components ensuring adherence to standards.
You will have a keen focus on enabling self-service and automation, enabling seamless use by customers and end users.
You will oversee the advancement of capability and skills of development teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
You will be a deep technical expert who inspires and coaches' teams to achieve extraordinary results, ensuring the GI technology ecosystem remains a strategic advantage.
You will work with Business Product Owners, CIO Architects, Infrastructure & Operations and Platform colleagues to achieve joint business and customer outcomes.
You will be responsible for: Outcome oriented product roadmap: Brings together deep knowledge of emerging SaaS technology, customer roadmaps and industry trends into strategic planning and product roadmap development.
Operational resilience: Ensures the GI technology ecosystem including SaaS platforms operates at peak performance, maintaining the health, resilience, and stability while adhering to IT risk, audit, and security standards.
Engineering excellence: Drives engineering excellence through high-performing teams by providing coaching, mentoring, and removing roadblocks, and maximising SaaS capabilities to achieve exceptional outcomes for the customers.
Architecting for the future: Defines and realises the target state architecture and technical roadmap for the SaaS ecosystem by aligning with Enterprise Architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards as well as SaaS vendors.
Measurable value: Realising the business objectives and outcomes for customer through the product roadmap.
Optimised resource management: Manage the SaaS platform in cost effective manner, streamlining resources and budget.
Aviva operates a "smart working" policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office this role is based in, Perth, Norwich, or Bristol.
Skills and experience we're looking for: A proven IT Service and Operational Resilience expert with experience ensuring SaaS ecosystems operate at peak performance.
Experience driving engineering excellence through high-performing teams by providing coaching, mentoring, and removing roadblocks, and maximising SaaS capabilities to achieve exceptional outcomes for the customers.
Experience delivering an outcome orientated technology product roadmap: Brings together deep knowledge of emerging SaaS, technology, customer roadmaps and industry trends into strategic planning and product roadmap development, whilst defining and aligning to target state enterprise architecture.
Ability to optimise resource management: Manage the SaaS platform in cost effective manner, streamlining resources and budget, whilst holding the SaaS vendors to account.
Curious and inquisitive mindset, to challenge the status quo within Aviva and our vendors, with demonstrable experience.

Salary Circa £85,000.
