Job summary Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust is a fast improving trust.

We have clinical teams providing services in inpatient, community, and primary care settings.

Our biggest bases are at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich, Wedgwood House, Bury St Edmunds and Woodlands Unit, Ipswich and our staff are based in more than 50 locations.

We're working closely with health and care partners and voluntary sector organisations to transform mental health care to ensure the people of Norfolk and Suffolk get help and support in the right place for them, when they need it, to stay mentally and emotionally well.
We are now looking to appoint into our Business Support Manager role to support the Director of Culture, Director of HR and the Senior Leadership Team for the People, Culture and Development (PCD) team.
The team covers HR functions, education, leadership development and employee experience.
Main duties of the job We are looking for an experienced and credible business manager who can provide high quality and comprehensive support the senior PCD leadership team and contributes to both strategic and operational improvements.
This will include providing and receiving information, which is sometimes complex and sensitive, to a range of staff internally and external to our Trust.
You will play a pivotal role in addressing operational issues, leading business planning, managing budgets, ensuring governance compliance, and driving service improvement initiatives by working closely with the Directors and Heads of within the directorate to ensure that both the core day to day requirements are achieved whilst enabling the strategic direction of the directorate and the Trust.
To be successful in this role you will need to have strong organisational and communication skills, with experience in business management and service delivery, ideally within the NHS.
We are also looking for someone who understands the complexity of a People Directorate (HR and Culture) and is able to demonstrate boundaries and confidentiality in their approach.

Leadership and management training, or evidence of equivalent experience.
Project management qualification Knowledge Essential Strong understanding of NHS policies, procedures, and governance structures.
Awareness of current NHS challenges and priorities within the people, culture, and development arena.
Experience Essential Significant experience of managing a business support function, preferably within the NHS or a similar public sector environment.
Operational management experience, including budgetary responsibility and resource management.
Experience in business planning, project management, and service improvement initiatives.
