We're looking for a Business Services Coordinator to join our team from mid-January 2025.
We can provide the training, but you'll need to bring a can-do attitude and work well as part of a team.
You'll work either 4 or 5 days per week.
We can be flexible about the working pattern and this will be discussed further at interview stage.
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave.
At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.
What it's like to work here You'll be based at Wray, an eccentric and spectacular Mock-Gothic castle in the Lake District.
Set in rolling parkland, you'll be able to enjoy uninterrupted views of Windermere from the office and rambling through the woods on your lunchbreak.
One day a week you may also be required to work from our ranger base in Coniston.
You'll be joining an experienced Business Services team, supporting our visitor business, and working alongside other departments including Gardens, Rangers, Collections and Facilities.

As well as the property team you'll be part of a wider 'South Lakes' network, collectively looking after an area of ownership stretching between Coniston Water and the western lakeshore of Windermere.

What you'll be doing Your role will be varied and there is always lots to do.
You'll be responsible for the following core tasks: managing visitor bookings for Hill Top and Steam Yacht Gondola, banking, purchasing and procurement, monitoring shared inboxes and responding to visitor queries, finance systems support, IT & admin support, marketing support and project support.
Full training will be provided, and you'll be supported by an experienced team.
Who we're looking for: good written and verbal communication skills customer service experience including cash handling – this could be in a business or office environment.
