This is an exciting opportunity to join our Procurement team, supporting a broad number of activities and areas of specialism.
Working day to day with the Chief Procurement Officer, Procurement Leadership Team and other Senior Stakeholders across the Society, you'll be responsible for overseeing, co-ordinating and delivering activities that support the Procurement Team to deliver their objectives.

We build long-term strategic relationships and work collaboratively with those suppliers that are vital to the success of our business.
In ths role, you'll be managing activities that support key forums in which we participate, such as the Run Cost and Effciencing Programme (RCEP), Strategic Programme Review (SPR) and Supplier Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs).
Another important part of the role will be leading in the production of key inputs to our Procurement Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), which supports the efficient running of our Procurement function and our integration plan.
You will also be responsible for leading our colleague engagement and communications plans.

Excellent relationship management skills and an ability to juggle and deliver multiple streams of work are essential.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Threadneedle Street or our Swindon, Nationwide House office.
If based in Swindon there will be the need for ad/hoc visits to London and vice versa.

What you'll be doing On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for: Creating & co-ordinating materials for a wide number of selected internal and external meetings and events, including Run Cost and Effciencing Programme (RCEP), Strategic Programme Review (SPR) and Supplier Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) Management of Procurement meeting governance including our Monthly BusinessReviews, Procurement Pipeline reporting, Procurement SLT meetings and the Procurement Risk Forum.
Responsible for overall co-ordination of deliverables across Procurement change and integration and for the planning and delivery of the Procurement people, communications, events and stakeholder engagement plan, along with budget management.
Responding to ad-hoc requests for information and generating actionable insight and recommendations which will be used to inform strategy and drive timely and quality decision making This role is key in supporting delivery of the Procurement teams objectives, reviewing, and contributing to deliverables, and helping Procurement achieve their outcomes and ambitions.
About you Your previous experience will ensure you quickly develop knowledge of the many elements of Procurement at Nationwide, whilst getting to grips with our priorities.

High sense of responsibility and discretion.
Intuitive and capable of using judgement to make key decisions.
