Reporting to the Head of Applications and Reporting the post holder will: Design and Implement BI Solutions: Lead the creation and deployment of complex BI solutions using Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI.
Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and governance to project teams and developers.
Governance Frameworks: Establish and maintain governance frameworks for reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Collaboration with Business Leaders: Work with senior business leaders to translate their needs into effective technical solutions.
Emerging Technologies: Act as a technical leader in emerging BI technologies and AI-based solutions.
Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement broader data strategies to support organizational goals.
Integration: Ensure the integration of BI solutions with other data systems and platforms.
We're keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience: Enterprise BI Solutions: Proven experience in delivering enterprise-level BI solutions.
BI Tools Mastery: Expertise in using BI tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Advanced SQL: Strong skills in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
ETL Processes: Proficiency in ETL processes and tools.
Data Warehousing: In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
Data Modelling: Experience in data modelling and designing complex data structures.
Communication: Excellent skills in collaborating with senior stakeholders and presenting data insights.
Project Experience: Ability to work across multiple high-impact projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Mentorship: Strong mentoring abilities to support and guide colleagues.
Governance: Understanding of governance frameworks and ability to implement reporting controls.
Third-Party Collaboration: Experience in leading and working with third-party partners.
Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
