Job Title: Business Development Manager – Renewables (Wind)
Location: UK (Fully Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in renewables to drive business growth in the offshore wind sector.
This is a pioneering role, focusing on building relationships and growing market share for our cutting-edge solutions in offshore wind, specifically around cable monitoring technology.
This fully remote role offers flexibility while requiring occasional travel within the UK.
Lead the promotion and market development of a holistic cable monitoring system for the offshore wind sector, improving awareness and market penetration.
Target key clients including EPCI contractors and cable OEMs to drive business growth.
Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with development, engineering, operations, and procurement teams at EPCI contractors and OEMs.
Effectively communicate and leverage the unique value propositions of our cable monitoring solutions, uncovering new opportunities and managing negotiations.
Define commercial and technical strategies for increasing adoption and expanding market share within the offshore wind sector.
Support the preparation and delivery of the sales and marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and targets.
Assist with bid preparation, tender submissions, and compiling technical/commercial documents for pre-qualification and quotations.
Regularly update the CRM system with accurate and up-to-date information regarding business opportunities and market developments.
Monitor competitor and market trends, identifying potential growth areas and new business opportunities.
Manage the Renewables Business Stream in the absence of the Business Development Director – Renewables.'
Proven track record in business development within the renewable energy sector, particularly offshore wind or subsea cable systems.
Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to challenge conventions and think creatively to drive growth.
Experience working with distributed sensing systems or cable system products is desirable.
A well-established network of contacts within the UK and European offshore wind sectors is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
