Business Development Manager – Local Government Location: Remote (UK) About the Role A global leader in IT services and software solutions is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new business sales within the Local Government sector.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities Prospect and Hunt for New Business: Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new clients within the Local Government sector.
Manage the Full Sales Cycle: Own the process from initial lead generation to finalising the deal, ensuring a seamless journey for the client.
Develop Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders within Local Government entities.
Understand Client Needs: Act as a trusted advisor, demonstrating a deep understanding of the challenges and objectives specific to the Local Government space.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with technical, delivery, and customer success teams to align solutions with client needs.
Achieve and Exceed Targets: Consistently meet or exceed revenue and sales objectives.
Maintain Market Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to ensure the organisation's solutions remain relevant and competitive.
What You'll Bring Proven track record of success in business development, preferably within IT services or software solutions.
Deep understanding of the Local Government sector and its unique challenges.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage complex sales cycles and work collaboratively across teams.
A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering results.
