Labskin Limited are looking to appoint a business development manager to help drive our ambitions at the forefront of skin science.
At Labskin Limited, we are passionate about our 3D human skin equivalent models, and we want someone who will help us to achieve our goals.
We work with a wide range of clients from start-ups to large pharmaceutical companies, providing constructs for testing or contract research services.
This is a pivotal role in the success of our company.
It will allow you to develop your skills and experience as the company grows.
Key tasks Lead generation and prospecting to develop the project pipeline Facilitate meetings with key decision makers at target companies Build and refine the sales process and documentation Attend key meetings, events and conferences being the representative for Labskin Limited Qualify leads and drives client discussions with the technical team to prepare proposals Maintain the CRM and project paperwork Be the touchpoint for clients in the sales pipeline The role will work closely with the scientific team to maintain effective communication to exceed customer expectations.
We are looking for a collaborative and consultative approach to prospecting opportunities to maximise opportunities and knowledge.
Our expectations You are an independent self-starter, well organised and a juggler of multiple projects.
You are an analytical thinker and able to devise creative solutions for clients You have excellent written and verbal skills, and can influence and negotiate successfully You have enthusiasm in buckets and are interested in what we do and where we want to be.
About you You are likely to have a background in life sciences and R&D and have or are looking to transition from the lab into a technical sales role.
Ideally, you will have a BSc., MSc.
Or Ph.D. in a life sciences related subject.
Experience of business development and/ or client interactions would be an advantage.

The offices and laboratories are situated at York Biotech Campus in Sand Hutton.
There will be regular meetings with the team and board, either in person or on site.
This role may require travel in the UK, Europe or US and Asia, to attend industry events or meet with clients.
The working hours may not fit into a typical 9 to 5 day, with client calls occurring in the early morning or late evening.
The package Salary - £40-50K p.a.
depending on experience Up to £10k bonus 36 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays Pension Phone/phone allowance, laptop etc.
