Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in growing our market presence globally.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in business development/sales, particularly within the T&D sector or analogous industries, coupled with a strong understanding of power system operations.
Additionally, a proven track record in tender submissions and contract proposals is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international markets, building a robust pipeline of potential project.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to capitalize on the strong market demand for AssetCool's innovative grid-enhancing technology.
Tender Submissions & Contract Proposals: Lead the preparation and submission of detailed tenders and contract proposals, ensuring technical and commercial excellence.Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, transmission system operators, and industry partners.
Technical Sales Expertise: Effectively communicate the technical and commercial benefits of AssetCool's products, leveraging engineering-led sales approaches.
Market Expansion: Drive the expansion of AssetCool's innovative solutions into new global markets.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to ensure sales strategies align with company objectives.
Market Research: Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Travel: Represent AssetCool at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, with significant international travel required.
Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in sales, preferably in overhead lines, but experience in the transmission and distribution sector more broadly (substations, GIS, power system components) is welcome.
Strong understanding of power system operations and the challenges faced by utilities.
Demonstrated expertise in tender submissions, preparing detailed contract proposals, and closing high-value deals.
A track record of success in business development and driving growth in technical markets.
Experience selling technically sophisticated, engineering-led products.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
International sales experience is highly desirable.
A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Technical background or familiarity with engineering concepts is a strong advantage.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
