Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and scientifically knowledgeable Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and expand our client base across the UK within the pre-clinical CRO sector.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a PhD in Immunology, Biology, Pharmacology, or Toxicology, and who is fluent in Mandarin (required).
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new leads, building relationships, and managing the full sales cycle.
This role requires 50% travel within the UK, with a focus on meeting potential clients, presenting our service offerings, and establishing long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Prospecting Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK market, targeting companies and researchers needing pre-clinical CRO services.
Drive sales efforts through lead generation, cold outreach, and client meetings.
Leverage scientific expertise to connect with clients in a meaningful way, showcasing the value of our services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted scientific advisor and partner.
Develop a deep understanding of each client's needs, presenting tailored solutions that align with their pre-clinical research objectives.
Market & Industry Research Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, track interactions, and document sales activities.
Requirements: PhD in Immunology, Biology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related field (required).
Mandarin fluency (required) 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably within the pre-clinical CRO or related scientific industry.
Business development experience is advantageous but not essential.
Strong scientific acumen with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience.
Proven ability to drive new business and manage complex client relationships.
Willingness to travel within the UK up to 50% of the time to meet clients and attend industry events.
