As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving new business opportunities across a defined sector, helping to embed the company's go-to-market strategy.
You will work closely with sector leaders and partners to strengthen and broaden relationships with current clients and foster new ones.
Key Responsibilities: - Pipeline Management: Oversee BD pipelines for assigned sectors, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to win new work.
- Collaborative Relationships: Work with the sector leader, US-based colleagues, and Lex Mundi network to develop cross-border opportunities and present the firm's full capabilities to the market.
- BD Coaching & Support: Coach Client Partners on business development strategies and approaches, assisting with their BD efforts and client relationships.
- Market Engagement: Attend meetings with clients, prospects, and represent the firm at relevant conferences and events.
- BD Materials: Collaborate with Marketing & BD teams to create targeted marketing materials, brochures, credentials, and capability statements to support business development.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Support flagship marketing campaigns, CRM tools, bid and tender processes, and utilize insights from client listening programs.
- Client Onboarding: Assist in onboarding new clients within priority sectors and enhance client experiences through tailored services.
Experience required: - Proven experience in business development, particularly in B2B or professional services.
- Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with stakeholders across different seniority levels.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior leaders on BD strategies.
- Ability to immerse yourself in sector trends and identify key market opportunities.
