What you'll be doing: Manage the accounts of assigned customers to ensure their needs are met effectively Conduct customer visits as necessary to maintain a continuous pipeline of inquiries for future projects Promote and sell the full portfolio of Quartzelec products and service offerings to all customers within the designated area and account assignments Identify, initiate contact with, and cultivate relationships with prospective customers Oversee market and customer development initiatives within the designated territory and key accounts Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with all pertinent information gathered during customer interactions and project updates Provide valuable market insights to the Tendering and Project Management team to align tenders and project delivery with customer requirements and expectations Engage in projects and initiatives designed to enhance the tendering process Collaborate with Business Managers and Profit Centre Managers to support the implementation of improvement ideas across business units whenever feasible Your skills and experiences: Proven experience in the power sector and related fields is essential Established expertise in Key Account Management from a sales perspective Track record of successfully developing new customer relationships Preferably possesses a background in the sale of engineering solutions Ideally has a foundational knowledge of rotating machinery Capable of contributing to and supporting the tendering process Demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and to operate independently when necessary Exhibits a positive response to time-sensitive challenges Maintains a continuous improvement mindset and effectively influences colleagues and clients with constructive initiatives Possesses a strong comprehension of technical drawings and the design characteristics of rotating machines Willingness to travel both domestically within the UK and internationally when required Job Role You will be a qualified Business Development Manager joining our sales team.
You will be responsible for a comprehensive range of business development activities across relevant industry sectors and will hold overall responsibility and accountability for designated Key Accounts within a specific regional jurisdiction.
Reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager, you will regularly travel throughout the UK to build strong customer relationships, effectively align customer needs with Quartzelec's expertise, and identify opportunities for both site-based and factory-based projects across Rugby and other related business units.
