Overview We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our sales team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our ongoing growth, and be accountable for increasing the Company's sales revenue, whilst maintaining the required margins and maximising opportunities with Prospects.
Responsibilities The role will require the successful candidate to identify and secure sufficient appropriate new business opportunities in line with the Business Development Strategy, and consistent meet or exceed agreed sales targets; Other responsibilities include; Identify new services to meet customer demands, and exploit opportunities for new business in defined market sector(s) Liaise with the operations team in the co-ordination of contract bids including the invitation to tender, specification development and pricing Provide market intelligence where possible to ensure that contracts have enough resources Strive to place the Company as the customer's preferred supplier Monitor competitor activity and market trends in defined sectors, then optimise business development strategy to take advantage of individual, or early uptake opportunities Be aware of changes and developments in technology, legislation, working practices and products that are relevant to the Company and the business Prepare reports and statistics as requested, and support tender creation activities Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders and decision makers Develop an understanding of ongoing and future client activities and requirements in order to develop new business opportunities Maintain a full understanding of any changes and development in legislation and working practices affecting the sector that may impact on the company's operations and/or present new opportunities Maintain the highest standards of presentation, personal integrity and customer support Ensure successful pre-qualification on all proposals Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have demonstrable business development experience in an FM environment, and should have a track record of successfully generating, and increasing revenue through successful new client engagement.
Other requirements include; Qualification in engineering desirable Commercial management and demonstrable understanding of pricing structure A background in developing multi-service FM solutions Highly motivated self-starter Capability to sell across a number of sectors, mapping out and identifying projects and opportunities using detailed knowledge of the Experience of estimating would be advantageous In return for your hard work, we would offer you: Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 Car allowance (Full UK license and own car is essential) Bonus scheme 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays Generous contributory pension scheme of matched contributions between 5% and 6% max.
