Business Development Manager Location: Hertfordshire
An exciting opportunity has opened for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a thriving team as a Business Development Manager .
This role focuses on identifying and securing new leads, clients, and opportunities while building long-term relationships within the live events and production industry.
Role Overview The Business Development Manager will:
Proactively seek opportunities to present the company's services to high-profile events, productions, and clients across the UK and Europe.
Facilitate the conversion of client inquiries into tangible projects by working closely with the project management team.
Champion customer relationship management, ensuring long-term engagement and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities Achieve revenue targets through new client acquisition and retention of existing customers.
Stay updated on trends within the live events and lighting/audio/video/scenic markets.
Research and identify potential clients and opportunities, establishing strong relationships with decision-makers.
Prepare and present professional pitch materials to prospective and current clients.
Collaborate with the Project Management team to track quotes, oversee tenders, and ensure smooth handovers.
Analyse sales and client data to identify opportunities for repeat business and customer retention.
Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows.
Actively contribute to the company's strategic planning, including process improvement and operational enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships, ideally within the events or live production sector.
Confident and personable communicator, skilled in engaging with clients through presentations and written communication.
Commercially astute with strong numeracy and IT skills.
Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel and adjust to changing schedules, including occasional evening and weekend work.
Full UK driving license required.
