Job Overview: We are seeking two dynamic Business Development Managers to join our team.
This is a consultative selling role and the ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with potential clients.
This is a home based role with the candidate ideally located centrally in either the South West region of England or the North West region.
The role will involve travel across the designated area including the need to stay away from home overnight.
The candidate will also need to be able to travel to our Head Office in Kent quarterly (more frequently during the probation period) and to attend a week long course in France as part of the induction process.
The candidate will work primarily with Health and Safety Managers and/or Site Managers of our clients across a wide range of industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, food and drink, energy, metallurgy, aeronautical and educational establishments, so any background experience in these arenas would be useful.
Duties : Educate clients on chemical first aid and spill management.
Identify new clients to expand the company's customer base.
Candidates will maintain sole responsibility for their designated geographical area.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers.
Work proactively to achieve sales targets.
Prepare and confidently deliver presentations to potential clients.
Carry out site surveys and advise clients on the most appropriate products for their site.
Prepare Quotations.
Be confident to close deals.
Provide product training at client's sites and online.
Manage own diary and ensure efficient journey planning.
Requirements : Sales experience is essential and preference is given to candidates with a background in our focussed market sectors.
(see job description) Previous use of CRM systems an advantage Strong communication and negotiation skills, confident telephone manner, report writing skills, excellent organisational skills and a very keen eye for detail.
Must be confident to work independently in their own area but also as part of a team to achieve the Company goals.
A company car allowance will be paid monthly and there are 5 weeks paid annual leave.
