BackgroundNimble is a growing product and technology consultancy. Our HQ is in Sheffield with growing hubs in Manchester, Leeds, and Bristol. We have over 150 consultants across approximately 20 clients, with plans for significant growth over the coming years following our recent investment from SCC. As a rapidly growing consultancy, we operate in both private and public sectors. Our clients are medium to large scale enterprises in industries ranging from education, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, betting and gaming, fintech, and utilities.
Our Business Development Director will lead our direct sales effort, with accountability and responsibility for owning and delivering against sales targets. They will provide business development leadership within Nimble and build strong relationships with our current and future customers.
Who this is great for: As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for taking ownership of all new client opportunities with a focus on larger enterprises and 'blue-chip' organisations from initial contact through to closure and handover.
As a result, you will need to be able to: Build great relationships: Get to know and understand our future customers, building relationships at the highest level with CIO/CDO/CTO/CEOs. Help them solve their key problems and challenge their thinking and approaches to digital and software development while identifying opportunities for Nimble.Understand the tech and digital consulting landscape: Bring a wider business and technology perspective. Know the technical and business landscapes, including where the challenges and opportunities lie, and how the market is developing.Win new clients: Take the lead on opportunities from initial contact to close & handover.Own and deliver against targets: You will be measured with a clear focus on the number and quality of new clients won by yourself and the team. You will need to win business that achieves in the region of £5-10m of revenue each year.Key Elements of the RoleSignificant Enterprise Business Development experience in consulting, and technology/digital professional services.A track record of winning million-pound plus new business deals with large enterprises.Relationship Management skills: Building relationships quickly with senior stakeholders.Working knowledge across our capabilities: Including Digital Transformation, UCD, Agile, Full Stack Engineering, Testing, Cloud, Data, and AI.Credible at C Suite Level: Able to confidently engage and demonstrate credibility to CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and wider C Suite, working closely with them to identify challenges and opportunities.Have a strong CEO, CIO, and CTO network: In the region that would be buyers of Nimble.Comfortable in ambiguity: Able to work both independently and as part of a small, dynamic team, working collaboratively with internal teams to create proposals and bids for our clients.Organised, structured, and creative.
