Business Development Director

This is a new role for a rapidly growing law firm who have some really exciting plans for growth over the next 5+ years.
The role will be reporting directly to the managing partner and will have a newly created team of BDM's reporting through to it.
This is a largely external facing Business Development team taking ownership of building the client relationships, working closely with their external clients to understand the business growth plans and identify the legal requirements.
You will be setting the strategy for developing the existing client base as well as a focus on bringing new business through the door.
This is not about cold calling but working with the sector leads to understand the desired client base, networking and using events to engage with the clients and creating the opportunity for a meeting.
The role will sit on the operational leadership board and you will own the growth strategy alongside the managing partner.
Some legal experience in BD would be useful but wider professional service experience, potentially a more client facing sector such as banking relationship management or similar would be useful.
